The short version
The app itself collects nothing: no telemetry, no analytics, no crash uploads, no game or process data. Our licensing service stores the minimum needed to sell and protect one license: your email, your key, and a salted hash of a Windows machine id.
What the app stores on your computer
- Your settings and crosshair designs, in a local configuration file.
- Your activation (a signed token), in a local file. Deleting it simply returns the app to the unactivated state.
- No telemetry of any kind. The app's only network traffic is activation and revalidation requests to our licensing service.
What the licensing service stores
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Purchase email | Delivery of your license key, recovery, refunds, support. |
| License key and activation record | Enforcing one active computer per license; detecting duplicate activation. |
| Salted SHA-256 hash of the Windows MachineGuid | Identifying "the same computer" without collecting hardware details. Read without administrator rights; it is a random Windows identifier, not a hardware serial. |
| Request rate-limit counters | Abuse protection (per email / per network address / per machine, fixed 10-minute windows). |
| Provider event ids | Idempotent payment processing (avoid double delivery). |
Payment details
Card data is handled entirely by our payment provider; we never see or store card numbers. We receive confirmation of the purchase, the amount, and your email. See terms for the provider list [OPERATOR: confirm provider].
Sharing and retention
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- Payment confirmation flows through the payment provider [OPERATOR: list providers and links to their privacy notices].
- Email delivery of license messages goes through our transactional email provider [OPERATOR: name provider].
- License records are kept for as long as the license is valid plus [OPERATOR: retention period, e.g. 3 years for accounting], then deleted or anonymized.
- Deleted on request: email the address below. Accountancy law may require us to keep purchase invoices [OPERATOR: confirm per jurisdiction].
